"How many times have you noticed that it’s the little quiet moments in the midst of life that seem to give the rest extra-special meaning?"
Fred Rogers
Reasons for Launch
As I've been working on increasingly complex and one of a kind designs, I have realized there is a need to make searching for these items easier. To more easily identify these designs, I have created An Extra Special Touch.
What is An Extra Special Touch?
This blog post is the launch of a new collection called An Extra Special Touch, which will also be a new blog category. Introducing this new collection allows people shopping in the store to filter for it, which will result in search results showing only products labelled as being An Extra Special Touch designs.
An Extra Special Touch Collection Items
While all the items I make are one of a kind due to their handmade nature, some are somewhat reproducible; however, some are not. As such, I want to begin offering items that are uniquely one of a kind; and, in many cases, not reproducible.
Why is an Item Not Reproducible?
Most likely, an item is not reproducible because it consists of a unique design. Such is the case with flower arrangements, because no two are exactly alike.
Variability of Supplies
In other cases, the supplies required for a particular creation might be the culprits. In some instances, I might have limited choice of a particular supply, such as crushed glass colours. Uniqueness of a design might also mean a supply is something I can't offer as a regular option due to scarcity; a related increase in supply cost is usually required, such as with matching whole rose buds.
Uniqueness Takes Time
This is pretty self explanatory: supplies such as flowers don't come prearranged, and designing takes time.
Inclusion in the New Collection
All types of items will be included in the new An Extra Special Touch collection. You will find old favourites that have been around since the site launch, such as key chains and eyelash cases, as well as new items that have yet to be listed in the store. Watch for new items to be featured on this blog.
